If you change your mind about your purchase from Life Under Canvas you can cancel your contract with us at any time up to 14 working days after the day of delivery as long as the goods have not been unpacked or used. To do this, please e-mail us in the first instance at [email protected].
Please include your order number and the delivery postcode. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation would be helpful.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are securely packaged in undamaged original packaging. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, or they are not securely packaged for a return delivery, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will exercise our right to charge you for the reduction in value.
Following an inspection of the returned goods, we will refund you by the method that you paid for the goods either in full or in part depending on the condition of the returned goods.
We will charge you for the reduction in value of any used goods (minimum charge 25% of the price of the goods used), including those that have been unpackaged if not actually used.
This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights.
If there is a problem with the goods, please contact us immediately and within 28 days of receipt of the goods. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.
To do this, please e-mail us in the first instance at [email protected]. Please include your order number, the delivery postcode and a brief outline of the nature of the fault.
Once we have been notified of a faulty item, we will request photographic images of the fault. It may also be necessary for us to collect the goods for further assessment or for repair. We will pay for the collection of the goods but if on inspection the fault appears not to be with Life Under Canvas we will pass the collection charge back to you.
Once we agree to accept the return of the goods these must be available for our collection within 14 days of the agreement email. You will need to communicate to us a four hour time slot between 9am and 5pm on a Monday - Friday that you are available to handover the faulty goods to the courier. If you don't have the original boxes then you must source sturdy boxes to package the goods, and tell us the dimensions. If the products are not available for collection within this timeframe, or you cannot communicate to us all of the collection information that we require, we will assume that the decision has been made to keep the goods. If a potential fault has been identified in the canvas of a tent, then you must unzip the groundsheet and only return the canvas section of the tent to us.
If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us or they are not securely packaged for a return delivery and this results in damage, deterioration we will exercise our right to charge you for the reduction in value.
Similarly if the goods are not appropriately packed for a return delivery in accordance with our requests and this results in excess courier charges, we will exercise our right to pass the courier charges onto you.
Following an inspection of the returned goods if necessary we will refund you by the method that you paid for the goods in the first instance. In some circumstances and if possible the goods will be repaired and then returned to you in a timely manner.
It should be clear that your consumer legal rights may still apply after the warranty expires.
